PROJECT OBJECTIVES

Coupling photoinduced crosslinking processes and electrospinning in order to fabricate nanofibres with optimized chemical and mechanical resistance.

-

Preparation of fibrous nanomembranes for water/oil separation.

-

Characterisation of the materials by physico-chemical and mechanical testing. Gas permability analysis.

-

Modeling of the electrospinning process and modeling of the photoprocesses with the constrains of the special geometry of nanofibres.

EXPECTED RESULTS

Obtaining of fibers with the desired morphology and preparation of membranes with tuned porosity and surface properties.

-

Performance of the membranes in filtration processes.

-

Modeling.

-

Trained researcher expert in electrospinning, with skills in modeling, acquired also during secondments.

PLANNED SECONDMENTS
